Weight Watchers at Work!
For more than 50 years, Weight Watchers has been successful in helping people lose weight and keeping it off. The Weight Watchers new Beyond the Scale program is a holistic approach to weight loss centered on eating healthier, moving more, living happier and losing weight. Weight Watchers is ranked as one of the top weight loss programs in the country for its clinically effective approach to weight-loss.
Here’s your chance to get some much-needed support to maintaining or maybe even losing weight as we head into the holiday season. If you participate in Weight Watchers at Work, the majority of your enrollment and weekly fees will be paid by the district through our Wellness Funds. The program starts with an informational meeting during the week of September 11th. Group meetings start the week of September 18th. (Please plan to attend the informational meeting since late enrollments will not be accepted.)

Your membership includes access to the Weight Watchers online support program. Below is a bit more information about how the Weight Watchers at Work program works:
Who’s Eligible? Subsidized participation is available to benefitted SVVSD employees. (Immediate family members are welcome to join, but they must pay the full cost ($156) for the 12-week series.)
What will it cost me to participate? The total cost for the 12-week program is $156 but SVVSD will pay $106 of the cost for you. If you opt to participate in the program, you pay only $50 as your portion of the series fee. Weight Watchers can accept payment via cash, check or debit/credit card (a non-refundable registration fee which can be made at the scheduled Informational Meeting).
The program works best with full and complete participation so we have designed this subsidy with the following requirements:
1) Attend no less than 9 weekly meetings
2) Submit your Weight Watchers Attendance Report to the Benefits Department by January 12, 2018.
No Exceptions or Excuses! Failure to complete the course and/or provide the Attendance Report by the January 12th submission deadline will result in an automatic Payroll Deduction of $106 on the January 31, 2017 payroll to reimburse the district’s subsidy.
Course Commitment: 12 weeks/1 day per week (we’ll meet every week except for Thanksgiving break week). We ask that you participate at the same meeting site and same time as much as possible but if you are unable to attend your regular meeting, you may attend another SVVSD meeting or a community meeting (visit weightwatchers.com for community meeting times and sites). Your attendance will be recorded at each meeting. It is your responsibility to produce a valid Attendance Report at the end of the program.
Course commitment starts the week of September 11th with your attendance at an Informational Meeting. If you opt to participate in the program, weekly meetings will start the week of September 11th and will consist of a confidential weigh-in at the beginning of each meeting, followed by a 30 minute meeting. The program includes 12 weekly meetings with confidential weigh-in and you will receive 14 weeks of online tools and support.
Questions? Any questions you may have will be addressed during the Informational Meetings.
